Photographer Pyo Ki Sik and director Jeong Jae Eun document and reflect on the nostalgia of Dunchon L&H apartment complex and its resident cats. This is Pyo Ki Sik’s exploration of the site ahead of complete demolition.
Cats’ Apartment: A Pyo Ki Sik Photobook travels back in time as it presents the apartment complex and cats in ‘cat scale,’ not in ‘human scale.’ It begins in the middle of summer, with trees being cut down and removed. We then head on to cherry blossom spring, silently disappearing behind a construction curtain wall, just as a clock would wind in reverse.
